On June 10, Crown Mazda and team “DAG” participated in the annual Gutsy Walk for Crohn’s and colitis. The goal was to raise $80,000 in Manitoba and the total number reached was over $81,000. All participants were treated to a bbq and live band after the 4km walk which started at the Canadian Mennonite University.
Glen Daman President of the Dilawri Group of which Crown Mazda is a member, also happens to be the chairman for Crohn’s and Colitis Manitoba Glen spoke before and after the walk and also gave out the certificate for “Best Team Name.”
Over 12,000 people participated in the walk in Canada this year; the best year to date, and $2.8 million was raised in support of Crohn’s and Colitis research. In Toronto, the CN Tower was even illuminated in red for an entire day in support of the walk. A huge thanks to all those who came out and mark your calendars for June 9, 2013!
